While we were busy getting prepared for this year’s Wedding Moabit Kultur Festival, 2470 media’s Grimme Award winning team led a workshop to make 2 short profile films on Karen and Scott. Below are the results from each film team composed of Israeli and Palestinian journalists… your feedback is welcome.

Last Saturday’s Emergent Berlin festival was a beautiful experience with content that was engaging plus an open and authentic vibe shared by over 800 people. I would love to make doing these types of events a sustainable reality with your help…
Therefore, I would like to warmly invite you join me in the Baumhaus this Sunday evening 24.08. to celebrate our success, tie up the loose ends and deepen our new connections. Door opens at 16:00, first feedback round at 17:30.
So, I could really use your help in 3 ways to make sure that Emergent Berlin 2014 and beyond are sustainable to produce:
1) Finances – Please consider making a tax exempt donation in any amount to our crowd funding we currently have running on betterplace.org (no registration, easy Überweisung too). Any amount that is not covered becomes my personal expense… :(

Emergent Berlin is a festival that brings together some of Berlin’s most active and interesting sustainable initiatives on Saturday, August 16 for a full day (and night) of discovering, sharing, networking and celebrating the evolution of Berlin’s sustainable urban culture. This grass roots non-profit event is taking place on the water front grounds of the Spree-acker/feld Wohngenossenschft located at Wilhelmine-Gemberg-Weg 10-14 in Kreuzberg.
Here is how you can become an Emergent Berlin hero and help make this a wonderful event happen:
In preparation for our Emergent Berlin summer festival on 16 August we would like to extend a warm invitation to help us develop and exchange some innovative social interaction interventions that can used during the festival and by all of us whenever!
We expect over 800 people at this year’s festival and we want to make sure that folks walk away having had a positive, informative, social and memorable experience. So we would like to come up with some clever answers to the following question:
>> How do you get strangers to get beyond normal social inhibitions and be open to having fun meeting each other in a big crowd? <<
We all know the experience of going to a large event and just hanging out with the groups of people who we already know. It can often be an awkward experience to walk up and introduce yourself to a new group or individual, sometimes making the experience of being in a crowd a somewhat lonely experience…
At this salon we will put our heads together and supercharge our imagination to come up with some planned and spontaneous interventions to help facilitate people feeling comfortable interacting with each other.
Bring materials to draw and sketch with as well as snacks and drinks to share.
• Where: Baumhaus Baustelle – Gerichtstr. 23 Front House, ground floor
• When: Doors open at 18:30 meet and greet, Event start at 19:15

By popular demand, we are extending the call for participation a few days to allow the last proposal to come in. There are also some more openings for people who wish to help out with providing some sustainable food for the festival.
Our 3d fly-through has been updated to include a groovy sound track along with a few layout changes. The final aesthetics of the space will be designed during the building process this autumn with the creative input of our many collaborative partners! We will be offering free building workshops for people who would like to participate…
We are now accepting material donations again so if you have wood, interesting fixtures or furniture that could be recycled then let us know!
