In 2013, we’ve started the annual “Emergent Berlin Fest” which brought together a broad range of local, social and ecologic initiatives along with other interested people and neighbors. It’s a grass root summer festival Emergent Berlin for people who want to make this world a better place. Completely organized by volunteers, it includes workshops and project pitches as well as „open greeting zones“ for encounter and exchange. With Emergent Berlin we connect social and ecological projects and players with individuals located in Berlin who want to learn more about sustainable initiatives or look for opportunities to engage in a certain project. The core question is: which new ideas, collaborations, or initiatives come to life when people meet and exchange views on sustainable live styles?
